Fake
Grape Environmental Statement
Fake Grape is trying to do our
part to foster a cleaner environment. Our office runs
on wind power credits, we have reduced our paper output
by 80%, we use recycled paper, we recycle the paper we
do use, we suggest printed materials created for our clients
contain mostly if not all recycled materials; we use the
internet and email instead of driving and flying as much
as possible.
We also have a flexible work from home policy, where employees
and contractors can eliminate carbon emissions from driving
into the office daily.Fake Grape suggests eliminating
societal/environmental costs of driving and flying by
using technology instead.
We encourage you to eliminate unnecessary travel and harm
to the environment by accessing your files online, telephone
conferencing, web conferencing and sending email.According
to Trees for the Future, a program aimed at offsetting
travel-related emissions, a jet emits approximately one
pound of carbon dioxide per passenger mile. That means
3.2 million acres of trees would need to be planted every
year to offset the emissions caused by the 240 billion
miles the National Business Travelers Association claims
are racked up by U.S. business travelers annually. Add
in the greenhouse gases generated by rental cars, the
energy and water use of hotels, and waste produced by
conferences and meetings, and it's obvious: Greening business
travel, meetings and business practices results in significant
environmental benefits.
Please keep in mind these other factors when choosing
your options:
Air Pollution Damage (health costs, crops, trees,
materials, etc.)
Natural Resource Consumption Costs
Road Noise/ Noise Pollution / Congestion
CO2 Emissions
Water Pollution and Hydrologic Impacts
We hope our commitment has inspired your office to
help the environment as well.
